The Sunflowers, a three-room apartment (74 sq. Meters) on the ground floor, overlooks the green valley of the Tiber. It includes a large living room with a fireplace and a fully equipped (pots, pans, dishes, glasses, flatware, etc.) kitchen area, a bath with shower, and two bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 4 people. Each contains two single beds that can be transformed into a double. Extra beds can be added for children, and the comfortable couch in the living room can be transformed into an extra double bed. The massive stone walls keep the apartment naturally cool during the summer months and toasty warm during the winter.

SERVICES DESCRIPTION

General information
Minimum stay of 1 week in July/August (from saturday to saturday) and 3 nights during Festivites. For stays of less than a week, the daily (per person) rates will be applied. For longer stays, the weekly rate applies (regardless of the number of guests). In both cases, kids 3 years and under are our guests! Children aged 3-6 years: 30% discount; 10% discounts available for Companies and Associations. We also welcome pets although an extra charge, in case, will be made for additional cleaning. (*)New Year rental € 45,00 per person per night (minimum 3 nights).

Rental fees include
Water, Electricity and Gas - Bed and bath linen (changed weekly) – Final cleaning fees – Additional beds for kids – Use of the Couch-Bed (only when apartment is rented on a weekly basis) - Satellite TV - Internet Wi-Fi – Use of the Pool (May-September) fully equipped for counter-current swimming and hydromassage. Farm’s washing machine (only for weekly rentals) .

Arrival and Departure

Activities
Guided tours of Sant’Illuminato and other farms in the area – Spend a pleasant afternoon sipping the wines and sampling the culinary specialties of the upper Valley of the Tiber. Each farm has its own activities that vary with the season: wine-making, olive oil production, bee-keeping and honey production – the list is endless.

Counter-current swimming and Hydromassage in the Farmhouse pool (6 x 12 m). The pool is open (May through September) to all registered guests.
Cook-outs and barbecues – Outdoor cooking is one of the best ways to enjoy the specialties of the Umbrian table: savory game, garden-fresh vegetables from a local market, fresh bread, and delicious wine. The ancient bread oven near the Farmhouse can also be used to prepare your own tasty homemade pizzas. 

Culinary Events – Special evenings organized (sometimes at the request of our guests) to celebrate various “events,” from the wheat harvest to the Night of the Falling Stars. They’re occasions for our guests to meet one another and enjoy the excellent local wines and traditional Umbrian dishes prepared by local cooks (grilled pork, porcini mushrooms, fragrant truffles, homemade fettucini with a piquant pork ragout and a variety of other delicacies).
Cooks -- For private occasions, local cooks can be hired to create special meals in guests’ apartments (minimum: 8 persons). 

Restaurants: Special discounts are available for our guests in various restaurants near the farm. 

Air Field – For guests arriving in planes or ULMs, the Farm’s Greenfield Airstrip air strip is open year round (click here for details). For authorization and technical support, please contact the Management. Sight-seeing Flights (from € 25,00 up to € 90,00 - reservation required) – the best way to get an “overall” view of this region and its hill-top treasures. Sports Activities - Fishing - Mountain Bike – Hiking (guides furnished on request) – Horseback riding and trips (Special discount rates at the Stables 4 km from the Farm).
